TRIMBLE, MALCOLM BELTZ

On Sunday, October 23, 2016, of Murrysville, formerly of Forest Hills, age 96, loving husband for 67 years to the recently deceased Mary Alice Trimble; beloved father of Bonnie (Galen) Ingram, Sharon (Robert) Beattie, Wayne (Joan) Trimble, Eileen (Gary) Brennan and Daniel (Sandra) Trimble; grandfather of ten and their spouses; and great- grandfather of nine. Mal was proud of his service in the US Army Signal Corps, S.H.A.E.F. in WWII. He was employed as an electrical engineer at Westinghouse for 41 years at different locations around Pittsburgh. Friends and family would all describe Mal as a curious, creative and kind gentleman. The phrase “not a mean bone in his body,” must have been coined for him. He loved spending time in his workshop and was a world class tinkerer and wood worker. His ability to fix anything and everything with duct tape and a glue gun was beyond compare. Making tiny wiremen out of telephone wire was his claim to fame. He made and taught others to make hundreds and enjoyed giving them away to anyone he met, especially little children. Malcolm was the oldest member of South Ave. United Methodist Church where he gave generously of his time and talents. Burial will be private. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Redstone Highlands in Murrysville where Mal and Mary happily made their home for the past 14 years.
