Mario J. Palumbo

Of Wilkins Twp., age 99, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Juniper Village in Forest Hills. Beloved husband of 70 years of the late Dolores M. Palumbo. Loving father of Dennis Palumbo (Lynne) of Los Angeles, Susan Asti (the late Art) of Pittsburgh, and Mark Palumbo of Jacksonville, FL. Proud grandfather of Michael Asti (Emily Eiben) of Pittsburgh, and Daniel Palumbo of Cambridge, MA, and great-grandfather of Mylah Asti. Brother of Paul Palumbo of Louisville, KY. Brother-in-law of Joseph & Pat Lagnese. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mario was born in Pittsburgh in 1923 to Donato and Vincentina (Conforti) Palumbo. He worked until he was 96, first as a grocer then as a food broker, and he was a proud Army Veteran. He was a good athlete who loved bowling and golf and enjoyed spending time with friends at Edgewood Country Club. Friends received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3604 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Sunday 2-4 and 6-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Fisher Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish on Monday at 12pm. Private interment at a later date in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.
