Of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, of natural causes. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Janice was a 1967 graduate of the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Home Economics. After moving to Pittsburgh, she was employed first as a dietician at St. Francis Hospital, then as chief dietician at Magee Women’s Hospital, before becoming a dietetic consultant for numerous facilities in the Pittsburgh area. A long-time member of Beulah Presbyterian Church in Churchill, PA, she served as an Elder multiple times as well as an Usher, Communion Server, Finance Committee member, and with their Munchin’ with the Ministers program. She was also active in the community with Produce to People and In Service to Seniors. Janice loved playing mah jongg and bridge with her friends, as well as traveling with her daughter and being a grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy Phillip, Sr. and Martha Ellen (Ebert) LeJeune, and her only brother Roy Phillip Jr., and is survived by her husband Peter, daughter Kristina, and son Richard, daughter-in-law Rhonda and granddaughters Emma and Chloe. A memorial service to celebrate Janice’s life will be held in Beulah Presbyterian Church’s historic chapel on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
