Charles "Dutch" Bennett, Jr. Obituary

Of West View, age 76, passed away with his family by his side on Friday, July 17, 2026. Beloved husband of Janis Bennett. Loving father of Charles A. Bennett of West View and William F. Bennett and his wife Caitlyn of Rostraver Twp. Proud grandpa of Hayes and Jillian. Brother of Laura Quinn of Fairlawn, OH, and Wendy Margaret “Peg” Cerroni and her husband James of Sharon, PA.

Dutch was born in Sharon, PA, on August 17, 1949, to Charles Frederick and Blanche Isabelle (Hunter) Bennett. He graduated from Sharon High School in 1967 and graduated from Penn State in 1971 with a degree in political science. He went on to law school at the University of Pittsburgh and graduated in 1979. He worked in commercial litigation for over 40 years. He loved politics and history, traveling to natural areas, spending time at his beloved camp in north central PA, and especially loved being with his grandkids.

Friends will be received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3600 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Monday, July 20, from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Interment in Penn Forest Natural Burial Park, Verona.
