William H. Reed

Age 89, of Forest Hills, peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 11, 2019. Beloved husband of Doreen J. Reed, who accompanied him in death on January 11, 2019. Cherished father of Sharyn Reed Kelson, Joella (José) Rivera, and William (Maryann) Reed. Loving Grandpa of Julius Rivera, and Justin & Andrew Reed. Dear brother of Mary Ann Sombo, Sally Brochetti, and the late Robert Reed. Faithful son of Harold & Nellie Reed. A kind, humble and generous man who treated all people with respect and dignity. Bill had many loves, the greatest of which was his dear wife of 69 years, Doreen Loreski Reed. He was an avid fan, rarely missing a Woodland Hills football game or his nightly game of Jeopardy. He enjoyed golfing, reading, traveling, and all duties related to being a father and a proud grandpa to his three grandsons. He found joy and amazement in his life on Earth. He was the spiritual leader of his adoring family who will remember and cherish his lessons on how to live a meaningful life. Friends received at Wolfe Memorial, Forest Hills Chapel, 3604 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Sunday only 1-6pm. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Maurice Church Monday at noon. Interment in William Penn Memorial Cemetery.
