Norah Rose Thompson

On Sunday, September 16, 2018, age 97, of Wilkins Twp. She was born October 25, 1920, in Darbyshire, England, the youngest of seven children of Harry and Ellen Alexander Carpenter. She served in the British Army in WWII where she met her husband, William H. Thompson Jr. She was the loving mother to quadruplets, Madeliene Henderson (James), the late Maureen Hill (Gordon), Michael Thompson (Molly), and the late MacDonald Thompson. Cherished grandmother of Jill Welsh (Sean) and Scott Henderson (Nancy Morrison), and loving family member Dana Dzuriak. Great-grandmother of Ben and Abbey Welsh and Nora Henderson. She worked as a homemaker and also a school crossing guard for the City of Pittsburgh. Norah enjoyed life and her family. Friends received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, 3604 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Friday 2-4 and 6-8pm, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10am. Interment in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Lawrenceville.
