Suddenly, on Saturday, February 18, 2017, we lost our dear husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law, father-in-law, and a friend to many.  Thomas E. Deger was the son of Mary Deger and the late Charles Deger. He was the treasured spouse of almost 40 years of Kate Deger and the proud father of Anne (Whit) Matthews, Amy (Kelly) Ball and Kevin (Lauren) Deger.  He was most proud to be "TD" to Caroline, Clark and Bridget Ball, Alistair and Ainsley Matthews, and Charlie and Elliot Deger. He was the brother of Laura Deger and Kathy (Jim) Byrnes. Tom cherished his role as President of Highland Carbide Tool Company and was a longtime member and Founder at Edgewood Country Club.   Friends will be received at WOLFE MEMORIAL, INC., Forest Hills Chapel,  3604 Greensburg Pike, 412-731-5001, on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. There will be a Funeral Mass on Friday at St. John Fisher Church, 33 Lewin Lane, Churchill, at 10 a.m. Please meet at the church.
