Michael J. Grieco

Michael John Grieco, age 81, of Churchill, passed away peacefully at his home with family members present on Friday, October 27, 2017. Beloved husband of 49 years of Patricia (Litvak) Grieco. Loving father of Maria (Brad) Turkel of Connecticut and Andrea (Clint) Myers of West Deer, PA. PapPap of Lucie, Noah, and Sela Turkel. Brother of Anne DiDiano. Born November 1, 1935, he was pre-deceased by parents William and Maria Grieco, brothers John and William Grieco, and sisters Mabel, Nancy, Lucy, Nellie, and Maria. Survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, strong love of family and country, delightful sense of humor, extraordinary culinary talents and hospitality in hosting countless memorable get-togethers for family and friends. He proudly served in the United States Army, was a member of the American Legion, and a brother in the Delta Alpha Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Carnegie Mellon University where he was known as the “Culinary Magician”. Family and friends will be received at Wolfe Memorial, Inc., Forest Hills Chapel, 3604 Greensburg Pike, 412-731-5001, Monday only 2-4 and 6-9 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Maurice Church in Forest Hills on Tuesday at 10 am. Interment in Mount Carmel Cemetery with full military honors.
