KARPINSKI MARILYN H.
Of Pittsburgh, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at ManorCare Shadyside. Marilyn was born October 10, 1933, and was a daughter of the late Walter D. and Louise (Covell) Hemker. She is survived by her sister, Ruth H. Raup of Lewistown, PA; niece, Kristin Raup of Pittsburgh; and nephew, W. Jeffrey Raup of Washington, D.C.; as well as many close, longtime friends who were like family to her. Marilyn was born and raised in Wilkinsburg and was a graduate of Wilkinsburg High School. She was retired, after a long career with Penn National Insurance in Pittsburgh. She was a lifelong, very active member of South Avenue United Methodist Church. With her perpetual smile and trusting spirit, Marilyn made friends wherever she went. Family and friends will be received at South Avenue United Methodist Church, 733 South Avenue, Wilkinsburg, PA 15221, on Saturday, April 9, 2016, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Private interment to follow in Riverview Memorial Park, Pittsburgh, PA.
